Social Worker for Youth Center in Växjö

At the women's clinic, we have about 280 employees. The clinic consists of an integrated maternity/birthing/gynecological department and a maternity light care department. Additionally, there are several midwifery clinics, gynecological clinics, maternal health care, a sexual and relationship clinic (Sesam), and youth clinics in the region.

We are now looking for a Social Worker for the Youth Center in Växjö. Växjö has Region Kronoberg's largest youth center with four midwives, one sexologist, one nursing assistant, three social workers, and a gynecologist. We have a close collaboration with Sesam and the Infection Control Unit in Kronoberg. The Youth Center in Växjö is HBTQ certified.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker, you will work independently with a focus on the youth. Our target group is young people aged 13 to 23 years.

Your main tasks will include providing individual supportive conversations regarding various difficulties/questions such as stress, anxiety, relationship issues, sexual concerns, thoughts about HBTQi, and more.

You will also collaborate with other agencies such as schools, specialist psychiatry, or social services. There may also be some outreach activities directed towards schools.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has another equivalent education that the employer deems comparable. We prefer that you have basic psychotherapy training or sexology training. Experience working with youth is an advantage.

We value good collaboration skills and great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
